Reminds me of the great Edwardian children'swriters, who never got bogged down in "writing for children." Humor, excitement, interesting and eccentric characters.A new book that has so much to offer to such a wide audience. "The Perilous Journey" is the second in the Mysterious Benedict Society trilogy.(The third and final is "The Prisoner's Dilemma".at least, the author wraps upeverything very nicely in the third volume. He could certainly still write moreadventures for this group if he chooses).I recommend all three books (to be read in order, of course) as easy enough fora bright child to understand, smart enough for a young adult to enjoy, and withenough insight, sly satire and heart to entertain adults as well.
Pristine condition. Fast delivery and if this book had been cracked at all, it must have been by a little old who took it out to read on Sundays and didn't open it more than an inch.
She "devoured" it. My eight year old grandaughter had read a previous book in the series and was thrilled to get this one.
